The Villa Mysteries
This Ritual Art piece was performed during my yearly women’s group in Joshua Tree. Each year we fashioned our own ritual or piece to share with the group. This particular year I had experienced some powerful dreams which reflected some deeper work on my mother/father complex. Shedding the old complexes to discover and enter into the new, my new soft animal body. Who am I when I no longer am the identity my father and mother knew me as? This piece is about cutting the bonds that bind me to the familial and stepping out naked into the new world in my soft animal body. The different materials that I wear and then shed represent the olde and then donning the new.
